Maybach

The German company Maybach was founded in 1909 and is known for its luxury cars. Before Maybach started developing cars, they mainly built engines for means of transport like zeppelins, tanks, trains and boats. Already in the 60's Maybach was bought by Daimler, but it took until 1997 before a car was presented under the name Maybach. 

Maybach is best seen as the exclusive branch of Mercedes-Benz. The Maybach 57(S) and Maybach 62(S) (Landaulet) are good examples of this. In 2013 Maybach continued under the flag of Mercedes. The new name: Mercedes-Maybach. The Mercedes S-Class and GLS are now available in a luxurious Maybach version.
