Hyundai ECUs
The Hyundai Motor Company is a relatively young car manufacturer. The South Korean brand was officially founded in 1967, but it wasn't until 1973 that the first car rolled out of the factory. The engines were initially supplied by different companies, but that changed in the 1990s. Since then Hyundai invested heavily in research and development. In recent years their development focussed on electric and hybrid cars.
Like many other car manufacturers, Hyundai uses ECUs from Bosch for engine management. Think for example of the Bosch EDC15C7 (Getz, Santa Fé, Tucson) and the Bosch EDC16C39 (Accent III, Santa Fé, Tucson). These ECUs are not unfortunately not faultless. Fault that are commonly seen are failure to release the immobilizer and problems in the control of injection and ignition. Fairly often we see as well that communication with the unit is no longer possible.
ACtronics remanufactures ECUs for the following Hyundai models:
- Hyundai Accent I, Accent II, Accent III
- Hyundai Amica
- Hyundai Atos
- Hyundai (S) Coupe
- Hyundai Getz
- Hyundai H-1 / Starex
- Hyundai H200, H300
- Hyundai Elantra, Lantra I, Lantra II
