Nissan Qashqai C1110 + C1111 + C1132 fault codes: the solution!

What do these fault codes mean?

The fault codes C1110 and C1111 and C1132 are brand-specific fault codes and therefore only apply to cars of the Japanese brand Nissan. Fault code C1110 shows a "Controller failure" and fault code C1111 shows there is a problem with the ABS pump motor. In many cases, these fault codes are found together and thus point you in the direction of a problem in the ABS system. The combination of these fault codes mainly occurs in the Bosch 8 ESP Unit.

In which cars can this fault code occur?

Nissan Qashqai (2007-2013)

Nissan Qashqai+2 (2007-2013)

Symptoms the of the C1110 + C1111 + C1132 fault codes

A Nissan Qashqai with the combination of the above fault codes has (not unexpected) faults in the ABS unit. In many cases (when the problem has been detected by the car) the ABS and / or engine management light will illuminate. This is because the pump motor continues to run, even when the car has been switched off. We actually always see this happening as soon as these fault codes are read.

Causes of the C1110 + C1111 + C1132 fault codes

The cause of this fault code is nothing more than a malfunction in the ABS system caused by an internal fault in the ABS unit. And although the fault codes point directly to the ABS system, this is not always correct! In other car models that use the Bosch 8 ESP as well, the majority of the pump motor faults are caused by a bad earth or power supply (including fuse) to the ABS unit.
