Skoda ABS-units
The Czech automobile company Škoda was founded in 1895 under the name Laurin & Klement by Václav Laurin and Václav Klement. Headquartered in Mladá Boleslav, since 2007 it has been wholly owned by the Volkswagen Group, which had also privatised Škoda in 1991. According to sales figures, Škoda is today the largest Czech exporter, the fifth largest domestic employer and (of course) the largest car company in the country. Škoda cars are now sold all over the world and also participate in motor sports, mainly rallying.
Škoda has actually always chosen Bosch or ATE Teves (Continental) for its braking system. As a rule, these are reliable systems, but they are not completely faultless. Take for example the Bosch 8 ABS / ESP which we find in the Fabia and Octavia: Error code U1308 is often encountered. This is often related to a defective pump motor or an internal defect in the ABS ECU. Fortunately, we have a solution for these problems in the form of a remanufacture.
