Škoda is a Czech car brand founded in 1895 under the name Laurin and Klement. Initially, Laurin & Klement concentrated on the production of bicycles and motorbikes until it became part of Škoda in 1925. From then on, the company began to focus mainly on the production of cars. And to this day it is the largest car manufacturer in the Czech Republic. In 1991, Škoda became part of the Volkswagen group, alongside car manufacturers such as SEAT and Audi.

The ECU can sometimes fail on various Skoda cars such as the Octavia, Fabia and Superb. In these three models, there are also different ECUs such as: Bosch EDC15P(+), Bosch MED9.5.10, Bosch EDC17CP14, Bosch EDC16U34 and Bosch ME7.5. The problems that can occur are various from a malfunction of the immobilizer or failure of the control of the injectors.
