The Bosch EDC16CU1 is an engine management system for Diesel engine cars that is used with the 1.9 TDI and 2.0 TDI engines of the VAG group manufactured between the years 2003 to 2009. The driver might notice a problem with the ECU when the engine management light (MIL) or other warning lights illuminate on the instrument cluster. The car could go to emergency mode, the engine might jerk or no longer run on all cylinders.
