Let’s repair a Fiat 500 instrument cluster!
The instrument cluster of the Fiat 500 can be found in the Fiat 500 models built between 2007 and 2022 and the Fiat Abarth built between 2008 and 2022. Various defects can occur in the cluster, LEDs or gauges can stop operating or the info display may be defective. It is also possible that the lighting in the dashboard no longer operates. The dashboard can be found in the following models:
- Fiat 500 C
- Fiat 500 E
- Fiat 500 F
- Fiat 500 Twinair 80
- Abarth 500
Common faults and fault codes
The following faults can appear in a defective instrument cluster:
- A complete failure or dimmed display;
- EBD failure
- The light that illuminates the cluster no longer operates in whole or part;
- The speedometer stops operating and therefore no speed rise is indicated;
- One or more LED indication lights in the instrument panel are not operating, i.e. the warning lights;
Repair solution for the instrument cluster
Before an instrument cluster is remanufactured, an entry test is performed to see if the fault can be reproduced. If this is case, the instrument cluster is offered for remanufacture. When the cluster has been remanufactured, an End of Line (EOL) test is performed to check if the fault has been resolved.
Always remove and install the instrument cluster according to the manufacturer’s procedures. ACtronics always sends a code card with instructions to get the panel functioning in the car after a remanufacture. This code card can also be found in your account when you are logged in on our website. Always follow the instructions on the code card and clear any error codes. If you are unable to resolve this, please contact our Customer Service.
Flashing Odometer?
We've seen in some cases instrument clusters supplied to us with a flashing odometer fault, however, more often than not this is not a direct fault with the cluster itself and instead is a symptom of a communication fault with another module within the vehicle. Often this is relating to the Blue and Me module. This is an issue that is not unique to just Fiat and can affect Alfa Romeo models aswell.

ACTRONICS works exclusively with car companies, brand dealers and specialists. You need an ACTRONICS account to place an order. Our customer service will assess whether your account is approved based on the information you have entered.
2. Find your part and create an order
Select your vehicle at the top of this page and choose the part number that you can read on the part. Can't read the OE number? Then select the option "OE number is not in the list" on this page. Can't find the part? Then request a quote.
3. Enter your diagnostic information and order details
When you register a revision order, we ask for more information about your diagnosis, such as your observations and/or an error code. This helps us to carry out the revision. After this, you choose your shipping and payment preference and start the order.
4. Packing & shipping
Make sure the part is securely packed so that it is not damaged during transport. Have you chosen our pick-up service? Then we will ensure that the part is picked up from you. This happens on working days (between 08:00 and 18:00) often within a few hours. Have you chosen to ship it yourself? Then bring the package to a parcel point near you. In both cases, you will receive instructions from our customer service.
5. We test the part
We test and inspect your part as soon as it arrives with us. Then we start the revision. Sometimes our test shows something different than the diagnostic information. In that case, we will contact you and share our findings and diagnosis. We only charge test costs for this and no revision costs.
6. We revise the part
Our specialists revise your part. You will receive updates so that you are always aware of the status of your order. If your part has successfully passed our final test, we will ship it to you. If necessary, we will provide additional workshop instructions and tips.
