Here's a interesting tip for you - Do you have a Ford Transit Custom in your workshop of which the display, the remote control of the key or the rear lighting does not always work and do you read one of the following error codes?

U0073-88 - Communication Bus Control Module is off
U0155-00 - No communication with Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control module
U0558-64 - Invalid data received from Front Controls / Display Interface Module

Then the problem is not in the instrument cluster, as you might expect! The current generation Ford Transit Custom has two batteries mounted under the driver's seat. One battery functions as a starter battery, while the second battery supplies the on-board network with power. As soon as this battery no longer transmits a stable power supply, this naturally has direct consequences for various modules, including of course the instrument cluster.
