Audi Q7 e-tron Error code P33E100
Electrical Fault with Charging Socket A: What it Means and How to Fix it
What does the Audi error code P33E100 mean?
This error code typically appears on the Audi Q7 e-tron plug-in hybrid models manufactured since 2015. It indicates an issue with the connection between the charging cable and the car's onboard charger, which converts alternating current (AC) from the mains to direct current (DC) for the battery.
What are the symptoms associated with the P33E100 error code?
The most common symptom is that the car won't start after charging. Even after disconnecting the charging cable, you might see a message or warning light on the dashboard indicating it's still connected. This message might disappear when you restart the car the next day, but it will likely reappear on the next charge.
What causes the P33E100 error code?
This issue usually stems from a faulty onboard charger, commonly referred to as the OBC. The original part numbers for these chargers are typically 5QE 915 681 AA or 5QE 915 681 G.
