What does the P0101 fault code mean?

The fault code P0101 indicates a problem with the MAF (mass air flow sensor) of your Mercedes. The MAF is responsible for measuring the amount of air entering the engine, an essential piece of data for optimal engine running and efficiency.

An incorrect measurement could lead to reduced performance, and increased engine emissions. This error code may also be accompanied by P0100, P0130 and/or P0170.

Which Mercedes models could be affected?

Possible causes of the P0101 fault code:

  • Contaminated or faulty MAF sensor
  • An air leak within the intake system
  • Issues with the MAF sensor wiring or connectors
  • Faulty ECU

Remanufacture is the solution to resolving the P0101 fault code:
