The trouble code P0A94 is stored in your vehicle when the voltage on the battery is reduced and this is detected by the PCM or engine control module. The exact error codes that can be read are P0A94-172 and P0A94-557, both of which refer to a problem with the performance of the DC/DC Converter.
Problems with the DC/DC inverter ensure that the electric motor in the car does not function properly. This can mean that these hybrid cars only run on the combustion engine, or that the car does not want to start at all.
Before inspecting any high-voltage system, take proper safety precautions to prevent electric shock. For example, wear insulated gloves and remove the service plug. Keep this service plug with you to prevent others from reconnecting it while you are working on the high-voltage system. After disconnecting the service plug, wait at least 5 minutes before touching the high-voltage connectors or terminals.
First check if the wiring between the inverter and the ECU has a problem. If the wiring harness looks good, it is likely that the inverter has failed.
