U1733 Fault Code: Symptoms & Cause

Multiple symptoms occur due to the U1733 fault code. For example, the odometer reading in the instrument cluster may flash, the (hands-free) Bluetooth function may not work and/or there may be other faults related to the Blue & Me infotainment system.

These symptoms indicate communication problems between the electronic modules in the car. The fault code indicates a fault in the CAN bus communication, the network responsible for communication between different systems in the vehicle.

If the Blue & Me module does not function properly, this can also lead to battery problems, such as the battery draining quickly.

On the Fiat Panda, the unit is fitted under the driver's or passenger seat, and in the Ducato, it's under the radio.
