Inducted into the APRA Hall of Fame

2024 marks ACTRONICS 20th anniversary. For the past two-decades we have been developing and creating unique and specialist remanufacturing solutions. We have always put quality first, in a bid to support the creation of a circular economy and avoid unnecessary waste and the protection of our earth’s valuable resources.

ACTRONICS was started in 2004 by CEO Leon Kleine Staarman. Whilst the  business  was originally founded in Almelo, The Netherlands it is now a truly global business  serving customers across the world, ACTRONCIS Ltd has operated in Colchester, Essex for over a decade.

The APRA Europe recently recognised the achievements of our CEO with an  induction into their prestigious Hall of Fame.  The APRA or Automotive Parts  Remanufacturers Association was founded in 1941, in California. In 1989, the  European division was founded and based out of Brussels.

Upon his induction into the APRA Europe Hall of Fame, the APRA had this to say.  “Leon has developed the art of remanufacturing automotive electronics. Besides  solving the technical challenges, he has also implemented a new business model  that has overcome traditional market barriers. Leon has proved with ACTRONICS  that with innovation, you can create an internationally successful remanufacturing  business with several hundreds of employees”

The APRA and its members, including us at ACTRONICS are working towards a   circular economy as part of the UN’s sustainable development goals. Remanufacturing saves millions of tons of CO2 equivalent emissions, 85% of raw materials and 55% of energy when compared with new production.
