Hellendoorn Rally: ACTRONICS Drive of the Day

Once again, the Hellendoorn Rally has put on quite the spectacle. The event culminated in Yannick Vrielink and his navigator Harm van Koppen being voted ACTRONICS Drive of the Day. Atoine Bieshuevel and his co-driver Willem Vissenberg took home the honour in the historic categories.
A great performance, rewarded by the public
Over 120 participants took part in the largest and most prominent rally in the Netherlands. The Eurol Hellendoorn Rally attracts enormous public interest, with spectators enjoying the action throughout the special stages. Whilst the chance to win the coveted ACTRONICS Drive of the Day award added an extra dimension.
The DOTD competition takes inspiration from its Formula 1 namesake, introduced last year as part of the ACTRONICS partnership. This year, Yannick Vrielink and Harm van Koppen were named ACTRONICS Drive of the Day with 23% of the public's vote.
The 27-year-old driver from Zutphen is considered one of the Netherlands' most talented rally drivers. Despite being behind the wheel of a slightly older Skoda Fabia Rally2 evo, he managed to achieve a respectable third place overall amongst the newer Rally2 cars. A performance that was noticed by the public. Vrielink looked back on the weekend with a big smile, "Our first podium finish in our home event, a result we had really hoped for. It was a tough rally with unpredictable weather, but we managed it perfectly. We want to thank everyone who voted for us; it is the icing on the cake," said an overjoyed Vrielink in the pouring rain at the finish line near Dieka, in Marelo.
In second place, with 15% of the vote, was Bernhard ten Brinke and his British navigator, Tom Woodburn. Ten Brinke completed his trilogy last weekend, winning the Hellendoorn Rally for the third time. German Corsa Rally 4 driver Konstantin Keil and his navigator Jennife Grafe completed the ACTRONICS Drive of the Day podium with 11% of the vote.
